I would try back feeding power from the optical port to see if I can get mine working again. I would like to know what voltage does the optical port need to light up. I need to get my volt meter out to check them for open circuit. Each of them is a fuse not sure if they reset when power is removed or stay blown. If you look on your motherboard you will see near the rear I/o ports there is quite a few of SMD fuses marked with a P. Its acting like a fuse blew that supplies power to the optical port and it also supplies power to make the analog audio work like the preamp of some sort power is dead. Even the realtek audio software detects when something is plugged into any of the analog ports. On mine the light is off and Windows does still see the audio device shows audio being played though the realtek audio device. I bet 100% if you look at the optical port on the back for the TosLink optical connection there should be a red light on anytime the motherboard has power. Hopefully someone may be able to see something amiss and advise you. Take some close up pictures of the motherboard and post them back here. If it still doesn't work correctly after this, you may have a hardware problem. Switch to Advanced Mode (under the Performance Control tab) and browse to the Clock/Voltage tab select Turbo Core Control to ensure AMD Turbo Core is enabled.
